Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 11, 2026

This Privacy Policy applies to the mobile application Logic Equations developed by Johnny Owayed (package name: com.johnnyowayed.logicEquations).

Information Collection and Use

By default, the app does not ask you for any personal information. Game progress and settings are stored locally on your device. If you choose to link a Google or Apple account (optional, for backing up progress), we receive limited account information as described under Accounts and Cloud Sync below. Third-party services used by the app may also collect information as described below.

Data Stored on Your Device

The app saves the following locally on your device:

This data stays on your device unless you link an account, in which case a copy of your game progress is backed up to our cloud database (see Accounts and Cloud Sync).

Accounts and Cloud Sync

The app uses Firebase Authentication. When you first launch the app, an anonymous account (a random user ID not linked to your identity) is created so the app can read daily puzzle content securely.

Optionally, you can link your Google or Apple account under Options → Link account to sync to back up your progress and restore it on other devices. If you do, we receive and store:

We use this data only to provide progress backup and restore. We do not sell it, use it for advertising, or share it with anyone other than Google Firebase, which hosts the data. If you never link an account, no game progress leaves your device.

Account and Data Deletion

You can permanently delete your linked account and all cloud-stored data at any time inside the app: Options → tap your linked account → Delete Account & Data. This deletes your Firestore progress backup and your Firebase Authentication user, and resets local progress on the device.

You can also request deletion by emailing johnnyowayed.dev@gmail.com from the linked email address, and we will delete the account and associated data within 30 days. See the account deletion page for details.

Third-Party Services

The app uses the following third-party services:

These services may collect information such as:

Each provider processes data under its own privacy policy:

Advertising

The app uses Google AdMob to display advertisements. AdMob may use device identifiers to show ads, including personalized ads where permitted.

If you are in the European Economic Area (EEA), United Kingdom, or Switzerland, we use Google’s User Messaging Platform (UMP) to ask for your consent before showing personalized ads. You can change your choices at any time in the app under Options → Privacy Preferences → Manage Ad Choices.

You can also limit ad tracking in your device settings (e.g. “Limit Ad Tracking” on iOS or “Opt out of Ads Personalization” on Android).

Analytics

Firebase Analytics is used to understand how users interact with the app (e.g. screens viewed, levels started or completed) to improve the experience.

Crash Reporting

Firebase Crashlytics is used to detect crashes and improve app stability. Crash reports may include device model, OS version, and stack traces.

Push Notifications

If you enable notifications in Settings or the in-app prompt, the app requests permission to send push notifications and registers a Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) token with Google Firebase. That token is subscribed to a topic matching your selected app language (for example, daily puzzle reminders in English or Spanish). We do not store this token on our own servers or link it to any other data we hold. You can disable notifications at any time in Options → Push Notifications or in your device's system settings.

In-App Purchases

The app offers an optional one-time "Remove Ads" purchase, processed entirely through Google Play Billing (Android) or the Apple App Store (iOS). We do not collect or store your payment details — Google or Apple handles the transaction and shares only the purchase status (e.g. completed, restored) with the app so it can unlock the ad-free experience on your device.

Children's Privacy

This app does not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will reflect changes.
